Using the Zebra MC3300 scanner with Orca Scan

The Zebra MC3300 does not have a Google Play store, so you’ll need to follow the steps belows to install Orca Scan on the device:

  1. Open a web browser on the device
  2. Visit https://orcascan.com/install to download the Orca Scan app
  3. Go to Settings > Security and enable Allow install from unknown sources
  4. Go to download folder, open the orca-scan.apk and run install
  5. Open the DataWedge application
    1. Select Profile0
    2. Enable Keystroke output
    3. Set Inter character delay to 10 milliseconds
    4. Go to Basic data formatting
    5. Enable Send ENTER key
  6. Launch Orca Scan mobile app

That’s it! You can now use the scan button on the MC3300 to capture data.
