On 1 October 2026, the Orca Scan team headed to Exeter as proud Platinum Sponsors of Medi-Connect 2026, hosted by Devon Air Ambulance.
Held at the Future Skills Centre, the conference brought together pre-hospital care professionals, emergency responders and industry experts to share experiences and explore new ways of working.
This year’s theme, Beyond Boundaries: Partnerships in Emergency Response, focused on how working together can make a difference in emergency care.
For the team, sponsoring Medi-Connect was more than just supporting an event. Orca Scan has worked with Devon Air Ambulance since 2022, helping the team track lifesaving plasma, known as Lyoplas, from the blood bank to the patient.
Using Orca Scan, crews can record each unit’s location, temperature status and usage, creating a clear digital trail at every stage. This helps the team prepare for audits, reduce waste and spend less time on paperwork.
