Zebra ET40 setup guide

The Zebra ET40 does not have a Google Play store, so you’ll need to follow the steps below to install Orca Scan:

  1. Open a web browser on the device
  2. Visit orcascan.com/install to download the Orca Scan app
  3. Go to Settings > Security and enable Allow install from unknown sources
  4. Go to the download folder, open the orca-scan.apk and run install
  5. Open the DataWedge application
    1. Select Profile0
    2. Enable Keystroke output
    3. Tap Key event options
      1. Set Inter character delay to 10 milliseconds
      2. Enable Set Characters as Events
  6. Launch Orca Scan mobile app

That’s it! You can now use the scan buttons on the ET40 to capture data.
