Assistant General Manager

Orca Scan started life as a simple barcode scanner app to help a teenager with his summer job and evolved into a no-code barcode system used by 20,000 organisations worldwide. We’re a small, agile team working with over 200k users to simplify barcode tracking and need a great Assistant General Manager to help ensure day-to-day business operations continue to run smoothly as we scale.
What you’ll be doing
- Ensure the team have everything they need to be productive
- Assist with processing team expenses on a monthly basis
- Liaise with accountants and prepare regular financial reports
- Take customer calls and redirect them to the relevant person on the team
- Assist with customer support queries via online support tools
- Create and maintain an analytics dashboard of customer activity
- Review and segment the user base on a regular basis
- Assist with responding to legal queries from customers
- Audit and place orders for equipment
What you should have
- Experience in a customer-facing role
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks
- Excellent time management skills
- Well-developed organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A good understanding of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- A desire to keep things incredibly simple
